Fire · Under · Water EP

Building ethereal vocal, ukulele, drum, and synth loops, Strangerfamiliar's sound brings you to a spiritual and dreamlike state; as if you had drifted into an isolated neon church deep in an Amazonian jungle.

Strangerfamiliar began experimenting and recording in her Montreal apartment in late 2014, performing live for the first time in June 2015. Her debut EP, Fire Under Water, chronicles the last 2 years of recovery and reclamation.

Heading back to her homeland in Santiago, Chile she plans to reconnect with her roots and plunge full force into writing a conceptually based full length album.

On this Weird Tuesday take a listen to the spiritual sounds of Montreal’s StrangerFamiliar. There are a lot of interesting electronic and organic textures within her minimalistic style of “crypop”.
